If you bank with Monzo, Trends is free, automatic and already on your phone, and you can connect one other bank or card for nothing. The catch is the ceiling: more connections need a paid plan, there is no CSV or manual entry, and it only exists inside Monzo. The Income Tracker works with every bank, needs no Monzo account, and is free with no ceiling.

Zero effort for Monzo customers. The data is already there, the categories are applied at the point of purchase, and the free external connection covers a lot of two-bank households. As a built-in feature it is better than most banks offer.
Independence. It does not care which bank you use, how many you have, or whether you keep them. Export a CSV from each, import them into one ledger, and your history stays with you if you switch banks. Custom categories, recurring detection and goals are free rather than tied to a plan.
Plenty of people do. Trends for the day-to-day glance inside Monzo, and a monthly CSV import here for the full picture across every account. The Monzo CSV export guide takes about a minute.
