In short
Log in to Tesco Bank Online Banking in a browser (credit cards and savings accounts), open the account, pick a date range and export as CSV. Then import that file into The Income Tracker and track your money for free, with no bank login.
Export Tesco Bank transactions as CSV
Log in to Tesco Bank Online Banking in a browser. The app shows transactions but does not export them.
On the overview, click the arrow next to the credit card or savings account to expand it.
Credit card: open the Transactions tab and click Download all. Savings: choose Manage Account, then Manage Payments, then the Your Transactions tab, then Download.
Choose CSV (the Excel-compatible option). TSV and QIF are offered too.
Save the file and import it into The Income Tracker.
Tesco Bank no longer runs current accounts, so this covers credit cards and savings. Card downloads list spending as positive numbers; the importer spots that and flips the signs, with a one-click undo. Tesco Bank's banking business is now owned by Barclays, but the login, app and export flow still carry the Tesco Bank name.
Formats Tesco Bank offers: CSV, TSV and QIF. CSV is the cleanest import. OFX and QIF also import directly.
The Income TrackerImport your Tesco Bank CSV. Free, no account, no bank login.
Drop the file in and every transaction lands in a month-by-month ledger. Drag items into categories, flag the recurring ones, and watch your surplus update as you go. Money moved between your own accounts gets auto-skipped, so transfers never double-count. Duplicates are caught too, so importing overlapping date ranges is safe.
Can I export Tesco Bank transactions to CSV for free?
Yes. Tesco Bank lets you download your own transactions as a file at no cost from Tesco Bank Online Banking in a browser (credit cards and savings accounts). You then import that file into a budgeting tool such as The Income Tracker.
Do I need to connect or log in to my bank to use The Income Tracker?
No. There is no open-banking connection and you never enter bank credentials into The Income Tracker. You download the file from Tesco Bank yourself and drop it into the app, which runs entirely in your browser.
Is my Tesco Bank data kept private?
Yes. The Income Tracker is local-first. Your imported transactions stay in your own browser and are never uploaded to a server, unless you choose to sign in to sync across devices.
Does the Tesco Bank app export transactions?
No. Use Online Banking in a browser on a computer or phone. The download appears under the Transactions tab for cards and under Manage Payments for savings.
Can I import a Tesco Bank QIF file?
Yes. The Income Tracker reads QIF as well as CSV. CSV is the simplest choice if you want to open the file in a spreadsheet first.
