How to export your Wise statement to CSV

By The Income Tracker ยท Updated 8 September 2026

In short

Log in to the Wise app or wise.com, open the account, pick a date range and export as CSV. Then import that file into The Income Tracker and track your money for free, with no bank login.

Export Wise transactions as CSV

  1. Log in at wise.com or open the app.
  2. Open the balance you want, tap the three dots, then Statements and reports.
  3. Choose Create a statement and pick the balance. On the web you can select several at once.
  4. Set the period, up to 365 days per statement.
  5. Choose CSV as the format.
  6. Confirm with your password, download, and import the file into The Income Tracker.

One statement per currency balance, 365 days each. Payments made straight from an external card do not appear in statements, only on the Transactions page, so check that page if something is missing.

Formats Wise offers: CSV, Excel, PDF, QIF, MT940 and CAMT.053. CSV is the cleanest import. OFX and QIF also import directly.

What happens after you import

Drop the file in and every transaction lands in a month-by-month ledger. Drag items into categories, flag the recurring ones, and watch your surplus update as you go. Money moved between your own accounts gets auto-skipped, so transfers never double-count. Duplicates are caught too, so importing overlapping date ranges is safe.

Only got a PDF? You can still import it. See how to import a PDF bank statement.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export Wise transactions to CSV for free?
Yes. Wise lets you download your own transactions as a file at no cost from the Wise app or wise.com. You then import that file into a budgeting tool such as The Income Tracker.
Do I need to connect or log in to my bank to use The Income Tracker?
No. There is no open-banking connection and you never enter bank credentials into The Income Tracker. You download the file from Wise yourself and drop it into the app, which runs entirely in your browser.
Is my Wise data kept private?
Yes. The Income Tracker is local-first. Your imported transactions stay in your own browser and are never uploaded to a server, unless you choose to sign in to sync across devices.
Can I export all my Wise currencies in one file?
On the web you can select several balances when creating a statement. Multi-currency files import, but one currency per file gives the cleanest result.
